The TENA SmartCare Change Indicator is applied to the outside of the absorbent product. It is reusable, easy to clean and consists of an integrated sensor strip and transmitter. The sensor strip and transmitter are lightweight and discreet so as not to disturb the resident.
It can be used with all TENA ProSkin absorbent hygiene products. This means residents can continue using the protection they are already comfortable with, and which assessments show best suits their individual needs.
The sensor strip tracks the saturation level inside the product. Sensor strips come in one size, are easy to clean and last for up to three months.

The transmitter collects information about saturation levels in real time and forwards it to caregivers’ smartphones. It is reusable, easy to clean and can be used on multiple residents.
Change notifications let caregivers know if a product is dry, slightly wet or if it is time to consider change. This ensures products are changed at the right time and removes the need for frequent manual checks.

All information from the TENA SmartCare Change Indicator is saved securely in the dashboard. The information is presented as easy-to-read reports that can be used to adapt care as residents’ needs change.
