Strategies for gaining control of incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD)

New programme aims to remove stigma from incontinence

The ‘Bladder Health: Breaking Boundaries’ news and current affairs-style programme was anchored by ITN Productions presenters Sharon Thomas and Duncan Golestani and screened at the Association for Continence Advice annual conference on 16 & 17 May 2022. The event was attended by continence advisors, continence nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, urology nurses, and specialist nurses – as well as doctors and allied healthcare professionals with an interest in continence care.

Luisa Parisi, Senior Product Manager at Essity said "Incontinence remains a taboo subject for many, and it was great to work with the leading charity Bladder Health UK on this awareness-raising initiative."

The video shows how incontinence is not just a normal part of ageing, and an issue that also affects many young men and women – who are often embarrassed and afraid to seek help. Watch the video above.
